Baukosten € brutto The value of the wood used is approx. 3.500 €, the value of the rest of the material needed for the completed houses approx. 12.000 €, value of completed object 25,000 € - 30,000 €. Labour costs: a private investor car-ried out the work himself. The construction of such a house is very specific, the used building materials are rarely used today. There are no trained construction workers who would perform such work routinely.

Projektbeschreibung A private investor, based on his own idea, designed a flat-dressing flat, which is primarily intended to find how Slovenian natural materials are being built in the construction (wood of domestic tree species, straw and clay). The planar apart-ment will be used for tourist purposes. The house is passive, as far as energy consumption is concerned and it has a low carbon footprint. All elements used in construction are from home environment. Even in construction itself, no inter-mediate phases were required, which would require an additional energy input, for example: for any kind of material processing. All materials used have been used well over a hundred years ago, and length of the houses was long. The house is completely ecologically degradable, with construction itself not a non-degradable waste that would pollute environment. He wants to show that stay-ing at such a house is on a very high level, is well insulated, with low energy loss-es.
Baustoff Holz The entire structure is made of local wood (chestnut piles in the ground), whole skeleton of the house (frame), roofing. In the house there is a wooden floor made of local wood, ceilings, the mansard is completely surrounded by wood, the wooden part is visible, the balcony, the stairs, building furniture (windows, doors), wooden under the house (wooden pressure. Wood used in the construction of the building comes entirely from the local en-vironment, most of the timber was cut down in the domestic forest, and some timber was purchased from local suppliers. The entire house has 31 m3 of wood. The following types of wood were used: spruce (70%) and fir (10%), robinia (10%) and chestnuts (10%). The Declaration authorizing the felling of trees of the owner of the facility and Wood transport document issued by the Slovene Forest Association, is attached. Unfortunately, there is no other proof of the origin of the wood, since in Slove-nia there is no system of traceability of local timber origin in private forest owners. Types of wood and quantities: spruce (70%) and fir (10%), robinia (10%) and chestnuts (10%).
Planungsprozess The idea was to build a functional building using completely natural materials, obtained in the local environment. The owner imagined a building that resem-bles a shepherd's flat, and the idea for the look was only given to similar build-ings that were in the function of shepherding dwellings. The design itself was adapted to the material (for example: all corners are rounded, the outer plaster is naturally corrugated, since the materials used do not allow proper geometric shapes). When designing, he wanted to use the old building principles: small windows and doors, but enough light transmission, low roof, low enough to warm the house in summer to protect the façade so that it does not wash too much clogged plaster.
Bauabwicklung Inquiry, offer, contract, accounting The process of supplying and processing wood for a house was cut down in the local environment. The wooden house is located in Makole (Stari grad 83, Ma-kole), wood for construction was cut in the forest in Makole (max. Distance of transport of wood was 15 km). Part of the log was transported directly to the location of the building (round wood for pilots), and part is the nearest sawmill in Peč. Part of the sawn timber was transported back to the owner (to the location of the building), and part to the carpenters. The maximum distance of the timber transport was 15 km. The construction of a loom was also used for construction - it took 15 km and a straw for the construc-tion of walls - it took 5 km. Delivery, construction support, controlling The way wood is used is actually traditional - but it has not been used and forgot-ten in recent decades - it is now being rediscovered. The flatland apartment is interesting especially because it is made of completely natural and ecological materials that can be obtained in the local environment without big costs, logisti-cal problems, large transport distances. In today's time people are returning to nature and looking for alternative ways of living, such a house is ideal for those who strive for a healthy lifestyle. The insulation of the walls of the house (made of straw) offers good living conditions, low temperature fluctuations during the summer, low consumption of energy for heating / cooling. The house is on chestnut pilots, there are no foundation bases, because the steep location of the building does not allow it. The frame of the house itself is wooden, of wood of spruce and fir, the roof is made of wood of spruce. The floor plan of the building measures 5 m x 5 m, the living area is 25 m2 in total. After laying the frame, the owner of the wall built with straw stacks. After the completion of the construction, a reed was laid over the straw, which was the basis for the application of loamy plaster (3 cm of coating on average, the wall is not uniformly thick). The floor in the vicinity of the building is wooden (robinia, circular dowels for wood pressure). The building has a natural cooling system.
