Best practice examples. Viele Akteure der öffentlichen Hand versuchen auf unterschiedliche Weise, Holz der kurzen Wege in unterschiedlichen Anwendungen zu realisieren. Ohne Instrumente, wie sie in dem ‚Low Carbon Timber toolkit‘ bereitgestellt werden, ist eine gezielte Steuerung der Stoffströme jedoch schwierig bis unmöglich und eine Realisierung in gewisser Weise Zufall. Dennoch zeigen solche Beispiele aber, dass eine Umsetzung unterschiedlicher Bauwerke mit Holz aus regionalen Quellen möglich ist. Die nachfolgende Übersicht stellt solche Beispiele aus den verschiedenen Ländern vor, die jedoch in der Regel nicht durch einen prüfbaren Nachweis der kurzen Wege in der Prozesskette abgesichert sind.
